Tortoise MLP Index®


The Tortoise MLP Index®, "TMLP," is a float-adjusted, capitalization weighted index of energy master limited partnerships (MLPs).

Our index is comprised of publicly-traded companies organized in the form of limited partnerships or limited liability companies engaged in the transportation, production, processing, and/or storage of energy commodities.

The Tortoise MLP Index® has a 10% cap on any one constituent at the time it is rebalanced, and includes all energy subsectors and general partners represented by the energy MLP sector.

Our index level is calculated on both a price-return and a total return basis. The real-time index level for the price-return version of the index is available from major market data providers, including Bloomberg and Reuters, under the ticker "TMLP." The total-return Index level is calculated at the end of each trading day and is available under the ticker "TMLPT" and can also be downloaded below.

Standard & Poor’s® independently calculates the index on a real-time basis under the ticker "TMLP." The index has a base level of 100 as its base date of Dec. 31, 1999. Rebalancing occurs quarterly by Standard &Poor's®.
